Immediate Source of Acquisition
A box labeled "Janis Krastins photographs" was found in a "to be processed" area in the archives of the Stephen B. Luce Library during a collections survey in 2016. It is unclear whether Krastins took these photos as part of his job duties or if they were his personal collection (he worked for the Maritime College library from the early 1960s through the late 1970s or early 1980s). No official documentation has been located regarding transfer to the archives, but presumably he left these photos behind when he retired.
