Scope and Contents

The Howard L. Humphries papers span the dates of 1936 -2001, with the bulk of the items from the late 1950’s-the mid 1970’s. The collection contains photographs, correspondence, and printed materials. The majority of the correspondence pertains to the Alumni Association, of which Howard L. Humphries was president from 1974-1975. The Centennial Anniversary of the school was celebrated in 1974 and a large majority of correspondence is associated with the Centennial Ball.

Scope and Contents The Joseph Gerson Collection comprises primarily of materials that were either given to Gerson through his efforts as Alumni Association reunion recruiter or with the Maritime Industry Museum at Fort Shuyler. Additional items found in the collection also come from Gerson’s own personal collection that he considered significant.
