             This collection contains the Conduct Books of the New York Nautical School (now SUNY Maritime College). The Conduct Books are large register volumes where the administrators of the school recorded when a student misbehaved or broke school rules. Scope and Contents
	     
      The photographs depict student activities, academics, clubs and athletics; alumni; staff/faculty; presidents; buildings and spaces on campus; the reconstruction and dedication of Fort Schuyler in the 1930s; aerial views; military formations; special events and commencement ceremonies; and life aboard the early schoolships St. Mary's (1875-1908) and Newport (1907 - 1931) as well as subsequent training ships Empire State I through Empire State VI.
