Content Description This collection consists of 12 reels of film (all Super 8 or 8mm) dated from the 1960s-1980 depicting summer sea terms on the Maritime College training ships Empire State IV (training ship from 1959-1973) and the Empire State V (training ship from 1973 - 1990). Footage shows training drills, oceanography experiments, and leisure activities on the ships and at international ports.
