Annual reports of the college from the founding in 1874. Annual reports have been processed and digitized through 1990 and are being uploaded to Maritime Digital Collections in stages. Maritime College had several different names before incorporating with SUNY in 1949, as follows: 1873 – 1913: New York Nautical School 1913 – 1929: New York State Nautical School 1929 – 1941: New York State Merchant Marine Academy 1941 – 1949: New York State Maritime Academy 1949 – present: State University of New York Maritime College
