Scope and Contents
This series comprises the records of the Sailors' Snug Harbor Business Office on Greene St. in Manhattan. It includes real-estate and property transactions, insurance information, act and bylaws, financials, legal documents and proceedings, and records pertaining to the management of the Staten Island facility.

Files containing personal information about residents are restricted for 50 years from the date of death of the individual. If the decease death is unknown, the files are closed for 72 years from the date the record was created.

25 Linear Feet (47 standard document boxes, 12 half-size document boxes, and 27 volumes.)
Arrangement of Materials
The series is arranged into sub-series that reflect the different divisions or functions of the Business Office. The sub-series are Real Estate and Property, Insurance, Management of the Staten Island Facility, Acts and Bylaws, Financial, and Legal.
