Reports to the Trustees, 1867 - 1878
Scope and Contents
Quarterly reports with descriptions of events and daily management at the harbor, names and vital statistics of mariners who were admitted and those who died, supplies needed, conditions of the buildings, expenses, crops planted on the farm and engineers reports. These were kept during the administration of Thomas Melville, who served from 1867-1884.

Appointments to examine materials must be made in advance. Please e-mail library@sunymaritime.edu for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Files containing personal information about residents are restricted for 50 years from the date of death of the individual. If the decease death is unknown, the files are closed for 72 years from the date the record was created.
