Empire State I Logbook (Rough) Jul.-Dec., 1931
Scope and Contents
In July of 1931 both the U.S.S. Empire State and the U.S.S. Newport were docked next to each other at Bremerton Navy Yard to facilitate the transfer of equipment onto the Empire State. The logbook was kept for both ships at this time. The Empire State left Bremerton on Aug. 1, 1931 and from that point on the logbook is only for the Empire State.
