Scope and Contents
This is a handwritten account of the history of the New York Nautical School. It provides historical information beyond the years that the St. Mary's Schoolship was in use but it was included in the original St. Mary's archival materials. Since the author of this account Frederick S. McMurray, was an alumnus of the St. Mary's Schoolship as well as an officer on the ship the decision was made to keep this item in the St. Mary's Schoolship Records Collection.
